Promoting positive wellbeing of staff and students is the core focus at DPS, which is enhanced through the school’s Wellbeing Operational Plan. 

The plan runs in conjunction with the Positive Behaviour Support Program.  We cater for all student needs by optimising resourcing and by providing an environment of inclusivity.  Our classrooms and grounds reflect learning spaces that allow students to explore, learn and most importantly, connect with each other in a safe way.

At DPS, we implement the zones of regulation from Kindy to year 6.  We develop and encourage student voice and agency across all year levels.   We foster a caring, nurturing family feel environment.  Students and staff are surveyed regularly to monitor wellbeing levels and needs are addressed immediately and with empathy.  Our school psychologist is on hand one day a week to support our staff, students and parents.
